Let's Talk WordPress for Chiropractic Websites

How Useful was this article

If you don't currently have a chiropractic website, now is the time to get caught up and implement the right tools you'll need in your chiropractic marketing. WordPress is the content/blog website that is standard and is an excellent option for chiropractors.

Recently, WordPress released version 6.0 (AKA Arturo, inspired by famed Jazz musician Arturo O'Farril). With that in mind, let's go with the Jazz flow and use it to inspire a new website for your practice.

Chiropractic Websites that use WordPress

Did you know that 42% of all websites are made using WordPress CMS? The functionality and flexibility of WordPress have made it the top CMS program in the United States and the world. There are plug-ins for virtually every function. Many plug-ins are free for use and easy to set up. More robust plug-ins are available, for a cost, as well. With one great content management system, you can design a solution for every need. Choose from 1000's of beautiful templates to style up your website. WordPress gives you functionality, beauty, and most importantly, a chiropractic marketing tool.

Chiropractic Blogs

At Marketing Health Academy we teach the principles and methodology of “The Marketing Circle” which focuses on the concepts of education and inspiration as a technique to generate leads.

Blogs are a powerful tool in your marketing toolbox. They can be both inspirational and educational. The blog function comes standard with every WordPress website. Not to be confused with landing pages, which we will talk about later, blogs are a great way to drive traffic to your website. Blogs are perfect for teaching how-to platforms where supportive video content can be added for more attraction, as well as links that build customer usability between your basic website and your chiropractic marketing.

Chiropractic Social Media

What does your website have to do with your chiropractic social media? Think of all your social media as extremities of your body. They are attached but work independently from each other. You can jump with your feet while tossing a basketball with your hand, all while turning your head. The same is true of your social media. Without your social media, you can’t reach out and pick up customers. Your social media isn’t meant to be the heart and soul of your marketing, but rather as a means for you to reach out, pivot, and be dynamic. By using a blog, you create interest. Social media is where you hand out small amounts of information to bring readers into your main realm of information.

Chiropractic SEO

As a marketing tool, chiropractic SEO is the slowest form of a growth platform. However, it is an extremely powerful system within your marketing ecosystem. If you take the time to learn the basics about keywords and links and combine them together, you'll end up with a well-choreographed dance and you can win at SEO. Don't let marketing professionals steer you away from understanding SEO so they can keep charging you for methods that are more simplistic and less effective in the long run.

WordPress not only comes with standard built-in SEO functions but there are also so many free plug-ins that can get you started.

Chiropractic Websites with WordPress 6.0

Now let's look at the purpose behind your chiropractic website built on the WordPress platform. We discussed creating blogs, now we are going to look at pages and some of the new WordPress functions that have been added to make your job easier.

Chiropractic Content

Here are just a few of the new WordPress functions to aid you in content creation for your website pages:

Improved User Interface

Although copied/pasted whole sections of content from one page to another is never recommended (very bad for SEO), the new copy/paste function creates more ease for utilizing small bits that need to be available on multiple pages, such as links within your website. Buttons, which used to take some custom coding knowledge, are much easier to style in the new block editor. Now you can apply more unique features with greater ease. Creating tag clouds and social icons no longer requires a plugin to be available in multiple formats.

Improved Speed

One common WordPress issue of the past is page load speed. Because of Google’s strict policy on page load speed, especially for mobile), many plug-ins have been created in an attempt to combat the issue. Although some of the plug-ins did help, none of them solved the issue completely. WordPress has announced that the new version (6.0) has solved the speed challenge. While too soon to judge, this will be watched closely.

As web developers, designers and marketers we are excited to make full use of the new functions on all of the websites we build for chiropractors (we can give you a quote when you're ready for one). We look forward to experimenting with many of the hundreds of new functions that are now are part of the WordPress version 6.0 platform. The new page load speed is one that makes us most excited, and the designers are itching to start playing with all the new design functions.
